No reason to be upset. It's just the market. I'm actually glad about it. I think I'll shop for a 10m Dice to replace my 2016 Dice. If Duotone said 'hey, you know what, we didn't find anything to add to the 2022 model, so 2023 is the same', then the 2022 price will not drop, or at least not that much, and I would have to pay more for a new 2022 or a barely used 2021.
You pay what you want to pay. If you have the money and like the new colors, go get it, but I don't think there is much difference in performance as there is in price.
I would bet that most of intermediate and some advance rider couldn't tell the difference between a '22 and a '23 just by riding it.
Those high prices also bother me and for one simple reason that the quality and durability just do not match these high prices. I often, almost every year, bought new kite sets and am used to these high prices, I also work hard for it and like to spend it on my passion. However my 2021 Duotone set of 4 kites are just not nearly as good as the years before. I just had 3 repaired because they were slowly leaking air, two needed new bladders because of the many holes, the third is patched and had torn line attachment. I had never experienced this before with new kite sets and I am very disappointed. I asked the repair shop (largest in the Netherlands, kiteshop Haarlem) if the SLS line might have been a better option, but what they told me was even more sad, they are also repairing these way more often dan before the ‘21 models, that S trong is so complete nonsense.
If I could be sure that they are strong and of top quality I would buy a new set but not anymore.

Where did you get price for the dyneema fabric from? From what I understand the material is quite expensive as pure dyneema fabric is too slippery to use, so it needs to be laminated.
I can by 130g/m2 coated 100% waterproof dyneema fabric from the reseller under 60€/m2. So the price for the big manufacturer has to be perhaps third of it or even less.
Contacted a a guy with contacts in the industry and told me 40€/m2 so you're right, the price is ridiculous.
He must have meant price for 1m of fabric, that is 1.5m wide usually and even then that sound too expensive. Definitely big manufacturers can get their materials more than 30% cheaper than ordinary customer from the fabric shop. Small businesses usually about double the price of the products they buy and then sell to customers. That is the business part of it which covers costs and give shop keeper some profit.
think you missed one and the main reason for price increase in Euro, which is the weak Euro. Last year like today, eur1.00=$1.19 - today, it is 1 to1. So, if the prices increase by 15% in Europe, this means Duotone whose production is in $ currency, have reduced the price by 3-4%. Knowing that the raw material of petroleum byproducts increase 33.5% in the past 12 months, then you are having a good treat on kites. I think the Euro is so weak now and Europeans will feel the increase in cost. Maybe politicians should help the Eurozone more than kite manufacturers do.
I just weighted my 9M (normal) Rebel from 2021: 2.96kg. Someone else wrote on this forum that his 12m weighed 3.41kg
Can someone explain to me what Duotone means by up to 15% lighter for the 2022 SLS?

2021 used the lighter Dacron leading edge material. I assume duotone is comparing with the 2020 rebel.
2021 IS THE YEAR OF MATERIALS FOR DUOTONE. HOW DOES THIS APPLY TO THE REBEL?
It’s all about balance. We went for a lighter Dacron material in the Rebel. After all, using a lighter kite is always a nicer experience, as long as it’s durable and robust.
It’s like the evo sls and 2022 evo. They are somewhat similar in weight now.
