I would love to see the look of a beginner going out downwind of this fleet

For sure not a good idea to go out.

First rumor says we didn't reach 1000...but hit a new record.

Will confirm asap when I hear it officially.
And videos and fotos to come as well.

It was an epic scene.

We broke the record !!!

884 riders were counted.

Unfortunately we didn't break the 1000. Although over 1000 entered the water.

We still don't know what happened to the ones not counted. But we are hearing stories like some didn't leave the wrist band to be counted, some stopped before, and many registered and didn't show up (500 people!!!)

I am personally wondering about those people...but also heard some people just signed up to get a lycra. That's sad.

Still, record broken, and the 1000 still up for grab. Maybe next year? Will inform you if it happens again.

But for sure it was an epic scene, I started on the most upwind point, and came in at the end. I had the whole fleet in front of me...so beautiful.
Very few people tangled and everyone had a great time.

Definitely a great event and thing to participate in.
