Hey guys,
Does anybody have some experience with the Dice SlS in 13m for foiling and Foil Jumping? Especially in lighter winds. At the moment I am flying a 13m Juice Dlab in Light Winds. But I want to sell it. Would the Dice be an option in terms of lightwind performance and boosting on the foil in lighter winds. Unfortunately there is not enough wind to go out riding the twin tip very often.
Thanks
Willy

Interesting. Most people would be going for exactly what you own (juice DLAB) for light wind boosting and foiling. Out of interest, what don't you like about the Juice that makes you want to sell it?
The foilers I've seen going highest have all gone the foil kite route. Something like a 13 Sonic or similar would be good for foiling and jumping in light winds if you can put up with all the extra strings.

I have a 12m Dice SLS, and do not foil enough to call myself a foiler.
That being said, the Dice is properly the worst Duotone kite for LW riding, except for the Vegas and the Rebel. And using a 13m kite to foil means you are chasing super light winds. Why not keep the Juice Dlab?

As mentioned by others: this doesn’t sound like the most logical trade-in.
Maybe it helps if you specify what you don’t like in the Juice, what you hope to find in the Dice, and what the actual wind range is. Eg 10-15kn or 8-10kn makes a huge difference.
As others already mentioned: If the only reason you want this kite is jumping as high as possible on a foil in extremely light winds you need a big ass high aspect foil kite. eg look at what Jamie Overbeek is doing: high aspect race kite with short lines. I think he rides a 18m kite up to 15 ish knots and he is a light person… Of course he is aiming for proper hight in low winds like 15m+ jumps.
Race foil kites aren’t the easiest of kites so keep that in mind. If it’s your first foil kite something like a Soul will be a lot easier to handle.

Thanks guys.
I love the performance of the dlab. But I had a material problem. That’s why my trust in aluula isn’t that much. I think they have some homework to do…
That’s why i want to go back to a more classy material. But still with a very good performance. Over the 13m I have a 15m for extreme lightwind. So let’s say I wouldn’t ride the Dice SlS below 8 knots. And then up to 15 kts.
Cheers

Then I suggest going Evo SLS or even Neo SLS instead of Dice. Nothing wrong with the Dice, I love the Dice, but a LW foiling kite is not what it is good at being.
Or, step outside of the Duotone family if you can. Lots of love out there for Airush Ultras, FS Soul, Ozone Hyperlink, etc, etc.

I cant comment on the SLS as I only have standard. But as a seasoned Dice rider I can say that the kite doesn't really come alive until its well powered up. Its a fantastic kite to be absolutely lit to the max on, but just doesn't really click in light wind. When rigging I consider my Dice to be a size or two smaller than they are, so a 13 is really going to feel like a 12 or 11 (in both speed and power delivery).

Have you read about all these problems with DT SLS kites? It’s a first time I hear someone complaining about Aluula durability but there was a lot of complains about SLS, no sure you are getting better durability here
