I know I've been around a LONG time when none of the winners of KOTA 2022 were alive yet when I joined Kiteforum.com...

Thanks Toby, I was so glad when I found this place and all the information it contains, and still regularly ask for advice and help here. Hopefully occasionally I get to contribute something after 18 years kiting. And I try to encourage others to join up, for example, a German and a Belgian I met on my downwinder in Cape Town yesterday had never heard of kiteforum!! Hugh

Happy to hear! Thx for your support!

I also always wonder when people don’t know about the site.
Imagine the lack of knowledge. I am convinced due to the information on here many people did not get hurt or die, knowing more about potential problems and how to avoid them and get out of them.

That’s a big achievement of all of us, they makes me proud being part of.

You should be proud of this site and all the work and time that you have put into it and what a great moderator you are. Most sites crash and burn because the person running them is too strict or too lenient, you have somehow managed to to it extremely well. So, thank you again for the excellent & continued effort on this long running informative site.

Toby,

The first 2 things I do every morning when I wake up are #1 check the current wind conditions and the forecast, and then #2 check the "Kiteforum" to see what the rest of the tribe is up to.

I live in South Florida, and it is so cool to see what is happening around the world with other kiters. It's great to see pictures, videos, read stories, and get info on different gear.

Thanks for all the effort that must go into keeping the forum up and running.

Cheers

Thank you Toby for creating Kiteforum and working so hard to keep it going over all these years. Thanks to all the contributors who brought ideas, comments, questions and a great deal more to the forum. It's been educational, entertaining and has made an important difference in kiting and more recently winging. Well done and thanks all around.

Rick
