Yes, pretty amazing this place has been around so long. I remember when I first joined (September 2002), I was overjoyed at the ability to learn/share about all things kiteboarding. The funny thing is that back then, the kite mags and pros were quick to ridicule those of us on the forum as kooks and nerds…that we should just get off the internet and just ride. As if we weren’t doing both!

It’s cool to see that while a lot of people have sort of come and gone over the years, so many of the early adopters (Peter, TheRussian, etc..) are still here and giving good advice and helping others. The sense of community here is one of the best, IMHO. Even amongst those that are seemingly argumentative by nature or the ones that have had to change their ID b/c they were a little too rude sometimes (you know who you are ).

Thank you for all you do, Toby! If I ever DO make it down to Brazil, I owe you a beer! Long Live Kiteforum!

Yes, a good way, but I assume less people will tend to register.

The way it is now is some extra work, but ok.

Thank you Toby for keeping this forum. Without it all information and videos will be very very fragmented, because all in fb, instg and yt is as sand dissapearing in water.

Forums can be so much better for stashing and searching for info.

And FB is infantile; I keep getting banned for calling myself fat, talking about pushing mongo and skating trannies on the skateboard groups... to say nothing of how shit multi-reply conversations are.
