Note that you will probably get used to extremely light bar pressure over time.
The OR kites (I have Roam and Crave) have extremely low bar pressure, especially with foiling (haven’t tested them with twintip).
For context: I can easily single-handedly tightly loop them with one hand in the middle of the bar even with my off hand.
Although they felt vague when I got them I now blindly know where the kite is. Difference is I mostly feel where it is through the harness rather then the bar.
Off course with low bar pressure you also have less leverage for your arms to work against (eg for balance) so really takes some getting used to but don’t discount bar pressure as to low on a single session experience.
An A-series OR kite is completely out of my budget and plans but it's interesting to watch Rygo's review about the Rise.
It seems Rise is a mix of Orbit's speed/"loopability" with XR/Edge/Rebel's "boosting and hang time.
He says the Rise's bar is so light that he had trouble to guess where the kite was in the sky and had to pay attention.
I am very surprised about people says reach has light bar.
We work with reach every day at our school.
Reach works very very good and light pressure in his low end. In low end is one of the most performaning kite on the market. Things change a lot once you start to be overpowered. Very nervous, it suffers a lot the gusts, and exactly like every kite it pays trade offs. It Is pretty much tue opposite of orbit that really sucks in low end, and is elite on hig High end.
Owned Also xr, really heavy (and slow) no matter what low end or High end.
