Dear All,
This shall not be a discussion about too high prices please.
Question: why are used Ozonen Edge V10 so relativly cheap.
- of course: old model.
- of course: maybe bad conditiones.
- of course: still too expensive....
Background: I have been looking for some used bigair Kite...
Used 10m Rebel and XR6 are often above 1000 Euro....
The Ozone Edge V10 is more Like 700-800 Euro...
So maybe everone except me knows, that there are know Problems, that Always Happen with the Version V10.
Thanks a Lot. BR
Simon
(I am not looking for Looping the Kite , so Edge would be OK)

Probably because we Ozone-riders are good people
Not sure if this is generally true? My impression here locally is that the Edge is an expensive kite to buy second hand (I’m no expert in the second hand market though).

no reason. those are just local market conditions and next year it might be reversed with the rebels cheaper.

On Marktplaats Ozone edges are indeed relatively cheap, reasons are probably:
Ozone releases a new model every 2 years, and after two years of use those kites are practically worn out or have major repairs. (not all of them ofcourse)
Rebels are overpriced as hell, the latest Rebel SLS is indeed above 1000eu.
Non-SLS should be around the same price of the edges,
Core XR6 10m should also be around 700/800eu since this isn't the latest model anymore
Core XR7 is the latest model and is effectively around 1000eu.
Known issues are: they are fragile kites and could possibly have leaking bladders (Ozone is known for this, even with factory-new kites)
IMHO stay away from edges PREVIOUS to version 11(latest model, with new fabric) and get yourself a high quality kite like the XR6/7 from your list.

I don't think they are cheap. They are also rarely available second hand here (Finland).
v10 is a great kite, buy it!

I have v11 but I didn't feel any difference. The best LEI available for hooked in jumping imho.
Ozone kites might be fragile, but they are also lightweight. It's hard to get bombproof and lightness in the same kite

Another discussion I guess. I have had Ozone kites since 2015. Haven’t had a single real issue with any of them. Anecdotal of course. I also know the importer here a bit. Very few issues with them. Locally in the Oslo area Ozone is probably the most popular or second to Duotone.
Not that I care much about brands. I randomly bought my first kite from a shop second hand that happened to be Ozone. Was intending to try something else before I bought my Edges, but as I like to jump old school not sure if there is a better kite out there.

I'd love to get my hands on cheap Edge v10, but there is none available atm and even shops offer poor discount on v10 if they have any.
So your claim that they are cheap, might be a local anomaly...

I too think that's something random
I have 2 Edge V10 10 and 8m, very good quality construction, materials, and fly characteristics
just consider that if you like to go at a slow pace is not the best kite, it's fast because it make get a lots of speed with relative wind, for this reason is a racing kite too and is also it's one of the most liked characteristics with also rocking upwind and never ending hang time
