The Woo at the price it is being sold right now is definitely not worth it.
I personally use the Woo for the community, unfortunately it isn't very accurate (actually a shame for such a high price point).
Surfr is more accurate and for free, unfortunately the community isn't very big in my country (we'll see how that evolves in the future).

There will be a Surfr App for Android and Garmin watches in the future.

The kite jump app for Garmin watches. That dachopper made works pretty well.
I've had a few sessions on it.
It's still in beta version but by the sounds of it it will be ready to go soon.
If you have a Garmin watch give it a try.

Something new in this field, good news.
But I’m curious at which technology it will use. I don’t see accelerometer working with a wrist watch, GPS vertical accuracy is still notably insufficient, and barometer, who knows?

No you need a PRO subscription but using a phone in your wetsuit is free.

I'm still on WOO 3 and might well get a new one if this one breaks. I use it both to try improving and for the community thing. If it's "still worth of getting a WOO 3" would then also depend on what your friends/kiting community use (assuming that's an issue at all). If considering it for personal data only, I think it's probably not worth it anymore. No idea if there's a Woo 4 coming out soon.

Surfr seems to largely negate the need for a Woo. Also compared to on the board devices seems to be more realistic measurements - ie not exaggerating as far as I can best tell anyway.
Not tried the watch version but might upgrade and give it a go.
The only weird thing about the latest version is it tries to tell me how high I jumped and I can never hear it, just can tell a sort of vague noise coming from inside the wetsuit!

Surfr uses the accelerometer of Apple watch or a Smartphone and it works very well. It does literally everything better than Woo and it is for free.

Woo? I would be surprised if that company still exists in a year.
