... one of the advantages of investing in Aluula kites is the ability to use a single kite quiver for foiling, SB & TT.
For sure, and with their awesome wind range, fewer Aluula kites in that quiver.

That description of the Hypermodel turning is consistent with the supermodel. There's like a 10 degree dead spot where nothing much happens and only once you pull past that does the kite start to really race round. I didn't mind that as it made the kite feel less sensitive for single hand steering. Does the Hypermodel still have the incredible depower that the supermodel has? I remember that could go from feeling really powered up to hardly any pull in about 45 cm of bar travel.
I have only flown a 12m supermodel. It had way less bar pressure than the 10m Hypermodel. I found the supermodel on the light end for bar pressure. Hypermodel heavy. Crazy how different it was for me.

interesting review. Seems like the big sizes are not benefitting from Aluula yet, but the 8m looks amazing.

I don't speak/understand German. Can you post what the reveiw said that makes you write this about the big sizes?

Thanks,
Droffats

Hey Stafford, if you view it In YouTube you can turn on subtitles and then turn on auto-translate to English. It’s not perfect, but you get the gist. Regards Steve

When I saw it was 3.3KG for the 12M I already thought so.
A full kilo more than than the OR kites of this size…

I guess the ultra light build is not as important for twintip usage in high winds where durability might be more important.
However if you want a bigger size to also use on the hydrofoil the 40% weight increase over a crave/flite is disappointing.

In a nutshell the review says that the 12m Aluula version turns slower than the Dacron version because of the stiffness. They like the 8m version a lot and find it superior to the classic version because of the way the kite loops in general and also performs in double loops.
Bar pressure and steering slightly above medium, but it does not become clear if that is for both sizes ( I am more interested in the 8m). That is something which would be critical for me. I really like that they reduced the bar pressure a bit on the current Dacron Pivot (I have the 11m). I guess I need to test it to find out for myself.
It is interesting that the Hypermodel also seems to have increased bar pressure vs. the classic model.

3.3 kg sound heavy for a 12m 3 strut aluula indeed. With evo dlab the gains are biggest with the bigger sizes is my experience
