Is it sad though? Really?

The only notable thing he has done recently was shit on Joshua and core demanding proof of his jumps for the woo WR in a lame instagram post that he then back tracked on after it backfired massively.

He was and is a great kiter and will carry on, but I can’t see how it is sad that ozone aren’t renewing his contract.

Was it specified that HE himself wanted to leave ozone or ozone isn't giving him another contract

Doesn’t matter which way it went, he doesn’t have a contract with them anymore that’s the end of the story

specially knowing that the industry has some trouble currently. I think they simply can't afford those team riders.

What's next for them gonna be interesting for sure.

It is almost mystic what keeps these legends still going, after so many years, after hard times and injuries. We all know Ruben has been on the edge several times, in hardest storms and toughest spots, gasping air to fill his lungs with vital ozone. Where can he find new fuel to ignite his passion again, to slingshot him to new heights like raging bull spotting a red flag?

Is new course set to north or is he going to elevate sport in some other direction? Now only Ruben can know what is best for him, where he can make more epic things reality. But if he just wants to give rest for his soul and have some gin in the evenings I don't blame him

Clearly Ruben is a legend in the sport, and where it is now has largely been driven by his amazing riding back in the day - but I wonder whether he is just coming to the end of being a team rider now?

I like also his positive style of presenting the Red Bull events.
Ruben is a legendary kiter, at that times it was harder and way more dangerous. Now everybody loops high and land soft with more ease :)

I was thinking the same, Ruben is a legend for what he did back in the day. He's not competing or inventing new tricks or breaking any records anymore. Maybe his career come to an end in that part of the sport. He's clearly proving himself as a great commentator or maybe a judge, but no o longer a top athlete.
Anyways, wish him all best and hope to see him more even if he no longer represents my favourite brand
