That pic and ones on the Kitemana site indicate they are now separating the encapsulation of the main center line and the single front flag-out line. Any chance that will help stop sand getting into the main line and wearing it out, unseen?

Looks similar to earlier Reedin and Slinghshot bars with auto-rotation. Their main lines are well sealed, the PU-tubing is really tight and the line is stitched to the tube at the ends. The interesting part is how the eyelet is designed. From the image it looks like the Slingshot Sentry V1 or Reedin V1/V2 before they moved to the single tube with auto-rotation. On those there is a lot of abrasion on the PU tubes, especially on sandy spots. The tubes get eaten up real quickly. Slingshot has adressed this problem in the current bar model with small metal rods within the eyelet, against which the PU-Tubes rest, so that there is less friction. Reedin has moved completely to a rectangular shaped single tube with auto-rotation.
Maybe this one is more durable. Same applies for the new Cabrinha bar.

I have a Sentry V1 heavily used. No wear on the PU tube nor the eyelet.. Once I had to do a safety release after my kite front stalled on the beach in a stormy gusty session (landing area close to buildings and hard obstacles). The pull of the safety line when the kite catched wind was still pretty hard before the kite completed flagged out . Even harder was to pull the safety line back in place! i tried to pull with a friend, one on each side, with no success. I had to wash the bar very well and let a lot of fresh water run through the tubing until i could put everything back in place. After that, i am quite concerned about the reliability of the safety system. The fit is really tight, probably to avoid sand into the tube.

We often rig up on a wet sandy beach. I take care that I give the lower part of the bar a rinse, once I am on the water. We ride a lot in the shallows where there is always sand mixed in the water.
One of my kite buddies had the Slingshot Sentry V1 having a lot of wear in the described area. He now uses the current model and that seems to work better. I have a Reedin V2 as one of my bars, which has a lot of wear in the eyelet and which munched two sets of replacement tubes. I have now used a Dremel drill and sanded all the edges of the eyelet. In my last session it seemed to work, let's see for how long.
