Reedin Supermodel 3 - back line setting?

Postby andylc » Mon Feb 12, 2024 5:08 pm

Hi all,
Just started riding my new Supermodel V3’s. Mostly great, stability power and jumping are great. I’m finding bar pressure a bit high and turning perhaps a little slow on the 11. Do people typically use the lower bar pressure setting on the back lines? I’m hoping this will lower bar pressure and speed up turning a little.
Cheers!

Yes, I do on my 11m Pivot, which is supposedly very similar to the Supermodel. Which kites do you compare the bar pressure with? The Pivot has about medium pressure, with the current model less than previous versions. My kite buddy's North Orbit for example has noticeable less pressure (I compared these only in 8m size).

I run my 11m usually on 24m, but it also works well on 22m lines and I have the impression that it gets quicker.

I’m comparing to F-one Bandit V12 or Duotone Juice, both of which have lighter bar pressure, Duotone on standard setup, Bandit slightly different settings but I think I had it on the faster turning setting which would probably also have lower bar pressure.
I don’t like really low bar pressure as I think you need some for feedback, but the medium setting on the 11m had my arms aching quite a lot after a 2 hour session.
