Hi tuxli,
well done, but do you have an overall picture too? Or a short discreption? I can't really imagine how it works yet. Why two rings which seem to be attached to a seperate (front?)line. Thanks a lot!
Greeetzzzz louis
P.S.@tuxli: Want to build two or three woodies this winter in a new technique. Will post some pictures if finished.

Firstly, I don't read German too well - ignorant Brit I know, but you germans spoke English too weel when I lived there.
Anyway, that shackle you have is dangerous. They DO NOT release unter load.
Also - I hope you have some sort of QR out of the picture for that second tied loop so you can release the whole lot if you have to!
Safety first!

that's not true. have a look at the manufactors page:
<a href="
http://www.wichard.com/catalogue/catalo ... 5">wichard quickrelease</a>
and i tested it in different situations (incl. directly in the powerzone) and it work...

Hi Tux.
Yes those snap shackles are a little unpredictable. I can testify to that after near colliding with an island at break neck speed. When i qulled the simillar snap to release the snap did release but the pin came out making any attempt at reloading my system impossible. Long Swim Home - Again.

Have to agree with radman, its all very well having one relese to go onto you safety but if ita all tangles and the kite is powered on the safety leash how do you let that go. I have a witchard that holds the chicken loop. I have welded a ring to this and my front line leash snaps to the ring. The allows me to spin the witchard after rotations and if all else fails i can completely relese the kite.
