I,m still planning a trip to fuerteventura in May. I want a nice beach, wind and something to do for my 2 kids and wife.

What should I choose

If the lagoon is full it is ok
The wind may well be off shore but safe
In the lagoon you can stand up ok
goto the right side of the hotel along the
off road bit you will see the road next to the pro center.
They run the kite school down
wind of this point.

Hotel Sol Elite Gorrines is good food is good too
As for flag the beach is good
but at low water dangers rocks

Currently In Fuerte. In May the trades should be blowing which are cross off at Rene Egli and cross to cross off at Flag. There´s more to do in Correlejo for a family, and Sotovento is more spread out. There is much more german spoken in the south (but I guess not to much of a problem for you!)

Also the south is safer in that even if the lagoon is not full (only happens a few days around spring tides for a few hours at high) because its a completey sandy beach. Today the wind at flag was onshore and I really did not enjoy seeing all those rocks ´not very´far (in some cases not far enough) below me.

Either way, the climate her can be very variable with some places working at the same time as others being dea, so get yourself a car and be prepared to travel around to the spots.

Good luck

So the best thing is to stay at flag beach and rent a car to travel around.
