Having trashed my ug wavetray on the weekend
I'm looking for a new board - BUT its got to be strong to put up with the abuse I put it through.

My question is what is the toughest board which is still a good performer and fun to ride ?

I'm 75 Kg

ta,

Conor

i've got to say i'd go custom epoxy with a formica base if i knew i was going to thrash the hell out of it.

i'm running a full custom carbon prepreg at the minute, no foam no expoxy lay up and the bottom is as hard as you like but the thin seems are prone to hairing.

Slingshot Skateseries (Jarvis-Drake-Zeppelin-Misty) take a lot of beating

you mean the board with the worst foostrap attachment point ever.....

i've 3 out of 7 of these fail in wipeout with the strap tearing off, because slingshot use a deep thread screw rather than a high tpi machine thread.

thye might have fixed it at the end of last year or on the new production boards but there was a lot of problems with them.

the base of the boards is as tough as nails though

My vote is Litewave too. It looks like snowboard construction and I've seen Dave slam one on the ground and kick it down the driveway! hehe. Board rides really nice too.

Slingshots look to be constructed similarly except Litewaves use metal screw inserts.

Good luck

The 2003 board line up from Liquid force is the strongest and lightest on the market. With a 1 year warranty. The Lithium is very light with a divinycell core, and duraglide bottom like Slingshot!

don't you know that you can't go making blanket statements like that without giving us figures for bending moment, stiffness, surface hardness, abrasion resistance in millions of cycles and rates of insert wear in saline solution in molecules per minute.

this isn't bullshit ville sonny, its the goddam kitesurfforum.com and we don't take kindly to crap like that round here, now edit that text.
