Is there any site that maintains information about the owner of a kite or a board?
Every kite and every board should have a serial number, mine do, if people had a place to register their kit it could be a way to to recover lost or stolen material.
Imagine that your board got stollen and the thieft tried to sell it to another guy in another part of the world, the buyer would check in the net database to see if the seller is really the owner of the board.
This could work, what do you think?

Need any help?
I'm a full time programmer, i'm very proficient with Java Server Pages, although i also could give a hand with PHP.
I bet that many people in this forum could help too.
Have you defined the arquitecture of the system?

J, never forget that many people in here do not speak English as their native language.
Therefore they all are doing a great job and we always understand what they mean. That is the most important!

Hello,
I think such a site would be cool, but how do you want to recover your stuff? Who´s on the beach checking the serieal numbers of Kite and Board? And if there is really a "Kiteofficer" at the beach...does he have to carry a Laptop?
