Skoopvs. X2-we talking big now

I personally got Skoop and I think that this kite is creme de la creme(if U know what I mean)
tell me what do U think

a friend of mine tested both, Skoop and X2. In his opinion the Skoop 8.5 and X2 12 are about the same. Other sizes of the Skoop aren't as good as the 8.5. He wasn't able to test the X2 in bigger sizes, only 10 and 12.

Hi,

yesterday I flew the Skoop 10.5 (14.3) in very light winds on the beach. It still had the bridles on it.

I was really amazed. It was a little faster and faster in turning than my AB8.4 without bridles, and as powerful as my AB11.8. Both airblasts are from 2001.

I haven't tried the X2 but I believe it will probably feel a lot more like airblast-alikes. If I read that with the X2 you must be carefull not to put too much tension on the back-lines, that sounds just like what was advised for the airblasts.

I think it is very good from Naish to go this way, I personally prefer the airblast feel over the naish feel.

I also flew a Slingshot 14 yesterday. It was slower than the skoop, turned also slower. And had more of a Naish-feel in the bar. Musch more pressure on the backlines.


Both kites looked _really_ well constructed.

I heard the Skoop has to be trimmed the same way as the X2. Supposely the 12.0 X2 has little bit more forces than the Skoop 8.5 without bridles. With bridles it is too fast and not good to control since you don't "feel" the kite.
