Andre Phillip of Antigua finishing 5th in Austria beating Mark Shinn in the last heat makes us all here proud. Told you on this forum to remember I said he'd be top 5 this year!!!! This comp had most of the big names.
Doing the "slim chance" in every heat was not a slim chance for him. He pulled it off.
The top guys had many others running back to the beach to find leashes in order to try this new style of move from a height. So funny. Anyway, anybody have any good photos from austria?
eli
PS. Royce, were you impressed? Good style huh?

Andre was here in Puerto Rico about a week before going to Austria. He is an amazing rider. I first saw him in Brazil last November. He was riding great then and has improved heaps since then. We sat in Royce's backyard in front of the beach and watched him do inverted handle pass after another and another. I learned alot from his style of riding and the tricks he was pulling. He also kicks ass in the waves.
He is a great guy to have in our sport.
Congrats Andre!

No of course Andre doesn't impress me. I will see you next week so i can watch and learn more and be very unimpressed. Not only is the way he rides the bomb but the first time I met him we didn't even kite and I liked him alot. Shut up Toby I still like girls. See you in Antigua on the 10th of course only if you"ll let me take notes.
Yeah. Aloha R.

Congratulations yet again to Andre. I imagine that competition in spring temperatures in Europe may have been a bit of a shock to Andre and a handicap all on its own. Well done and looking forward to more of the same!

Yeah.........congrats Andre.
Couldnt happen to a nicer guy.
Keep your eyes out for more Antiguan riders.
Young David and Timmy are learning heaps! 14 year olds who can ride for 4 hours straight without a break! No wonder these guys are beginning to rip.
We are here to keep up the STOKE!!

Keep it up!!!
it is good to see a layed back relaxed attitude prevail amounst the agro 'in your face' personalities out there on tour.
He will only get better.
Lets see some pics of the young crew coming out of Antigua!
See you guys in June.
