1/4 PLYWOOD CORE

Postby Guest » Fri Apr 16, 2004 4:38 pm

I had some succses building boards just using 1/4 mahagony plywood exterior and laid up with 4oz. carbon top and bottom.stainless inserts rise on the deck no need to grind just add a spacer under the strap and it fits snug.as far as the fin plugs just drill straight through.rocker is minimal, i just cut grooves in the ends to flip it then filled it with epoxy and let it dry then grind it smooth then lay up the carbon an wrap it with a thin plastic sheet tight and let it dry.no paint needed since its just a test board, i let the carbon just show and so far no uv damage.cheap and easy to build that can withstand abuse, also has good flex....BoardBuilder from GUAM U.S.A. :thumb:
