Skimboard

Whats a good size skimboard to build .Want to use it with a kite . 130 x 45?

135x50/55 more like....give it loads of width as youll be shifting your feet all over the puppy ,and make it tear shaped/fat n directional with about 3mm rocker in the tip and youll be havin it..mine works a treat

Thanks greenkite .Did you go for a glass or wood construction? Im thinking wood with a core for the first one ,then go for a glass one .Is it worth putting inserts in? :D

Greenkite . Have made outline of skimboard 130 x 50 . Looks good .Will build next week.

i use sp systems core cell as its the best core i can get,ive tried loads of others but this stuff is the nuts.i use epoxy and various grades of glass cloth . i dont bother with inserts in these as if the wind warrants foot straps ill be on this

if you do want inserts nsi do surf pads with built in inserts
