new lightwave footstraps need help

Postby kiteguy » Thu Sep 06, 2007 3:04 am

i just finished my first plywood board! i got lightwave footstraps and i don't have foot pads on my board yet but i can't seem to get my size 13 wetboots fully into the straps.i'm thinking when i put some footpads on the board there will no way to get my boots in at all.will these straps stretch?do i need footpads if i'm in wetboots? is there a way to make straps bigger? maybe a wedge under the straps to raise them higher?

It is so easy to solve this issue.

Put your pads on your board.
Then make some spacer blocks out of an old kitchen choping board and fit thease inbetween the strap mounting points and the the board and use longer screws to fix them in place.

Hey presto, easy eh?
