I have removed an old inflate valve from a Blade Fat Lady v2. The valve came away quite easily but I’m not sure what to do with the bit that’s left. I have all my Dr Tuba bits ready to go but want some advice as I am concerned I may struggle to get this bit off and damage the bladder or leave something which will stop the new valve sticking to the bladder properly.

That looks quite like the FS valve. I think I’ve used hot water to peel it off. Otherwise no chance to put a new one on.

Nothing. Just leave it. The best way to reattach any valve is from the inside anyways that way the aur pressure is helping to keep the valve on instead of pushing it off

Try some Goo Gone once you peel off the upper layer (use a hair dryer or hot water to get it off).

And how exactly he would put it from inside?

Hi,
cut as much of that green stuff away (if possible), while not damaging the bladder, then glue the valve base edge with PU glue. Leave to cure overnight. Also, cut off the "net of holes" off as (max in fi 24mm daim), as I see that this is ball valve - if you have our ball valve it already has protecting embrane with pre-made holes to hold the ball. You can try to match holes but can be a bit tricky.

I should have put the scissors down but couldn’t help myself- cut a small hole in the bladder. Hopefully not real impact with a sticky on the inside as well as fully inside the diameter of the new valve. Letting the alcohol dry and then going for it!

looks good! i always cut it exactly as shown in the photo (minus the extra cut in the bladder)
