Really like your idea of max inital vac and your plastic heat weld seam idea, I will maybe try this my next vac.
I find myself using the cheapest acyl in trigger gun tube form and clear plastic to see well, works well most of the time, although messy to clean!
Opening up a fully cured over night vac sac project always feels like Christmas present to me, eager to see how it turned out!

These are the wing and mast profiles I used. I tried to get close to.

Ok. Took your advice. Slapped some more carbon so it's stiffer on my mutant and fitted up the foil. Made a temporary skyhook for the front.

Looks like you have the foot hook sorted out. I made 2 for mine. As long as you come out of them easily, there's no reason to only have one. You might have to slide a foot forward out of it to keep the board down if you put it too far back, but it makes it super easy for maneuvering the board for getting started if 2 feet are attached. Or, is there a good reason to only have one hook? This is all fairly new to me.....

I just following the advice of the experienced foilers on here. No straps is apparently harder to learn, one strap at the front is recommended and a foot hook allows for easier ejection without getting stuck.

All this is theory as I haven't given it a go yet. If the forecast is go to plan maybe Monday evening after work.

I am a single front footstrap beginner guy about 12 sessions in. I was talking to another guy who's lines got caught in his foot hook somehow, and it was a complete goat snuggle. Just be warned this has the possibility with hooks, it could even happen with straps though much less likely. Aside from that potential issue a front foot hook looks like a great approach and I am excited for you to start slaying on this board.

The only reason I can see to have a rear foot hook is if one wants to jump and, or fly fast.
BUT,
if your set up goes from the horizontal STRUT water start position to vertical quickly due to either thick board and, or heavy T bar, then a rear foot hook can aid in keeping board vertical ready for water start.
Must say that in hundreds of sessions never had lines caught in foot hook but mine is a old NSI half cut so the horizontal part is short.
Once again, a front hook provides, once found, the correct front foot board placement and just enough board control for water start. We mount it a few cms in front of desired stance and only use for water start in higher gusty winds or choppy H2O, then its strapless for the freedom.

Yep. Its stiff with minimal flex.
