Should or can all the hydrofoil build posts be moved into this section that already exist ?

KBHF is Kite Board Hydro Foil?

This is the wrong way around?

Agree, wrong to use a not known abbreviation.

What about "Hydrofoil Builders" so in sync with the name "Board Builders" on the main page, but still very precise as "Hydrofoil" covers both hydrofoil boards and wings/struts/fuselages. - everything :thumb:

For sure, it needs a different name, I'll not add my thoughts as I have none.

It was and is my idea to choose K B H F as one can see going back thru past posts.
Most notably "available".
Why?
Just like the correct word for the vertical element of a T bar is so often misused here  :nono:
Every word I choose leaves no room for confusion.
"Kite" as to not confuse with S U P, Wake, Boat towed Seated, Sail boat, electric, and other Hydrofoils, We use kites for our power source.
Board, once again even the name of one of the threads here this forum is incorrect, we Kite Board, surf implies waves!
Hydro for no confusion with RAM air kites, again often mistakenly called "foils"!
And Foil is self evident.
I suppose that "kite hydrofoil" could be ok, but again I sure see it as a board sport.
What does North and many companies call what we do including all styles?
KITE BOARDING
And here what do we want to discus building?
HYDROFOIL
Thus,
(K) ite (B) oard (H) ydro (F) oil
All that said, as it will be a sub thread under Hydrofoil and this is a Kiteforum, (D) o (I) t (Y) ourself would be just fine. D I Y
And just for the record,
I have built, seen, and test flown many D I Y KBHFs since 2009.
I also am so lucky living here to know guys with ever growing knowledge and skill to associate with.

But this is a "Kiteforum" no need to write "kite" in front of everything, and why "Board" as it is both boards and foils right ?

Please stop using these non-understandable abbreviations, at least not as titles, thank you

Many use two letter abbreviations for specific boards now - it is utterly nonsense and unreadable for many, only those writing the posts knows what they are talking about, as they only got this very hydrofoil, so they call it "AB" and "AC" and "XF" and so on, and everyone has to google a lot to find out what it MIGHT be ? :o

Why not "Hydrofoil Builders" ?

PS: "KiteBoarding" is a funny name btw, not many knows what it is around here as not a word that exists in our language, compared to "Kitesurfing" that is listed in the national dictionary.
Even if you google both there are 40% more hits on "Kitesurfing", no matter if correct word or not, but used the most apparently
But that was not the issue, and one can argue for both :naughty:
