MGS from Germany is by far the best I've used but too expensive. My masts have always been solid carbon/epoxy though

YEP !!
But the real reason i use MGS , and Aeropoxy , is because nether brands use MDA
aromatic amines (a known liver toxin and carcinogen) in their hardeners. And also, both satisfy
all structural, pot life and wet-out characteristics according to tests by Rutan Aircraft
Factory, and RAF recommended its use for all homebuilt aircraft applications.
Aeropoxy takes like 4 months @77-f to to full cure , and parts can be handled
about 24-hr after initial cure, and when Ya laminate to that uncured part you still get
a Great molecular as well as a structural bond. Want to finish off the cure ; just
toss it in the oven @ 140-F for 2 hours,(or in my Van for the afternoon, in the Vegas summer sun)
and it's done.
MGS has hardener range of 6-hours, for the slow, and :15-min for the Fast ; they
both can be blended to get any cure time Ya want in-between, because they
both have the same PHR mix-ratio.
I personally can not use West-system slow hardner ; the smell makes me sick , and
i start to get a skin rash.
Most the good brands of epoxy are suitable for what we build as DIY'ers ; some of
those epoxys will kill Ya , faster than others.
