Acrylic spray paint question

I'm painting my board. I bought primer and some colours and a gloss sealer.

So I've sprayed half my board with my primer - it's an ugly grey, but hey ho. The shop didn't have white.

When I finished I noticed that the little sticker said "use a PRIMER with this paint" .... they guys in the shop have not sold me primer at all, this is just grey paint all over my board.

What to do?

The board was roughly sanded with 300 grit. I cleaned it with detergent then fresh water, then air dried. Then painted.

Thanks,

kjorn

Your grey paint is probably fine, especially if you did the abrasion with 300 grit and then cleaned it.
Primers generally provide better adhesion to low energy surfaces, and they seal porous surfaces.

If your grey paint looks smooth and you can't scratch it off with a fingernail then it's most likely just fine.

Hi,
The primer makes it possible to adhere smooth layers.
Without this primer the paint wouldn't hold but if you have sanded before your board and the gray paint didn't scratch off with the nail then that's ok ;)

I also repainted my board, here is the video :
