All true.
Unless i really end up loving this board for surface planing, it may some day become a ~2kg pocket foilboard if I shorten it to about 110-120cm (It’s about 0.52g/cm^2). I used some 45/45 fabric to keep a hair of flex so it is tolerable surface riding in chop.
If core was thicker i might use all 45/45 carbon and a bit less of it, or one layer of 45/45 under 4-6oz glass, plus a little uni and patches.
I do let my techniques get more complicated than strictly necessary to keep my skills fresh or learn new variations.
I might also have a pocket board out of some scrap glass wood veneer and carbon i have around...
The peel-ply deck texture is a good one. I opted for hex traction this time, just to try it out.
