Hi guys,
I've got a couple of unused clamcleats with a missing part in red color, how can I use it for the depower line as per pic? I'm building a new bar...
Any ideas? Custom solutions?
Thanks
D.

Buy them new? Here in Europe they sell around €15.- new so why bother with home made solutions?
Search for: clamcleat cl826-11an
But some manufacturers (like F-one) just put some bolts through the 5mm Dyneema depower rope and the cleat. A bit harder to to get right and not easy to adjust the position, but it works.

Old tried and tested trick: you can take a regular clamcleat and bolt it directly onto the dyneema. The bolts will go through the weave if you open them up with a fat knitting needle. You need a back plate like the ones you have on footstraps or at least decent sized washers. [Edit: I just saw that someone suggested this already - I had no idea that F-one did it.]

I just did this to put an above the bar depower on a 2014 Ocean Rodeo Bar. Hate below the bar clam cleats! Anyway, I use a long aluminium one with holes at the ends. There was a bit of internal sharp flashing which I removed with a dremel and polished, no need to add extra wear to the lines!

Can get ones like the original pic form eBay too, like $15 last I looked.
Why not go for an adjustable one like the old North/Switch bars? When Switch sold that part, it was like $7 or something.
