The notch at the bottom of the hole is all wear!

Herman, you were right. I underestimated forces and friction and had to find a solution, see the picture (the metal part is from a sailing store, and I put an aluminium tape). Otherwise, I have now used this bar several times and I am quite happy with it.

Flysurfer safety leash release, the pin is strong enough to take the full forces of the front lines, I am pretty confident (anyway only 50%, the other font line attaches directly to the metal ring). Then I use a wichard to eventually disconnect completely from kite.

Hi, you mean that the front lines don t go through a center hole in the bar? I asked myself the same question and observed no disadvantage. However, I want to have the lines as close to the bar as possible, this is why I did not want a low friction ring attached to the bar as a fairlead, as others have done and posted here, and I realized that the hole should not be too wide, a little hole feels better and gives better control. As I have the adjuster placed inside the bar tube, I need space there. To have the fairlead on top of the bar also makes it less likely to mistake right and left side of the bar - something I still confuse sometimes.

Thank you for reply, I’m going to use a square bridge and rivets to bound it to the bar. Depower tube will just touch the bar, not going to be far.

I would say riding the depower above the bar wold be very inconvenient for hands placing.

I’m looking for aluminum rivets, plenty in any sailing shop. Also some of the rivets have an o ring to make the hole watertight.

It's more than 12(?) years since I last rode with this kind of bar and I don't remember any big difference in having the line on top compared to a regular bar. But maybe there is an advantage over a regular bar in having the line underneath?
