Hydrofoil damage, is this repairable?

Well looks like I finally bottomed out one too many times with my 633. Looks like some pretty extensive damage to the leading edge, it's cracked in a couple places and you can see the carbon underneath. Also it's starting to flake. Is this repairable and something someone with no real experience can do? I don't mind trying before I buy a new wing. Thanks

For sure that wing can be fixed.

It's relatively simple to grind out the bad parts and add more resin and reinforcement. The more difficult and time consuming part is shaping it all back to match the original shape.

Foils might be small but they are precise. Shaping them is tricky.

Too many ground hits. I don’t care about the wing tips, they’ve been like that for awhile. More concerned on the leading edge. I have to say that it’s taken quite a beaten. What was the final straw I guess was hitting some rocks at speed down here in La Ventana.

Thats no problem to repair. Just clean the gap out properly first then wedge the front open a bit and pour a bit of epoxy or polyester resin mixed with graphite powder which you can get in a hardware store.
Then clamp it together to get it back to original shape when drying.
Use a bit thicker mix of resin and graphite to fill the gaps after. Sand with wet sandpaper. I then use a car glazing compound for fine scratches after and wetsand with grits up to 2000 to get perfect finish. Job done....
