look in the corner of the drawing - its dated Jul 2005. In that era the cabrinha bar had a "hook" feature that would hold them fully powered. Not sure about other bars. I made a half-hearted attempt to kite back in 2005 and ended up waiting till 2009 when things had matured a bit.
This was an early clamcleat thought.

Worked great with the big bar pressure kites.
Much saver then the knot we put in the depower line..
