glue for different

Dear builders,
which glue do you suggest to join paulownia and foam (XPS etc..) possible easy to find in Germany.
I would not use epoxy because need something that fill small gaps because of not perfect cutting.
Something with glueing time more then 20min

In the past Ive used Epoxy, thickened with microballons, between foam and pauwlonia.

May consider Polyurethane as well. Curing time will be quite long though, as in a day or two most likely.

In the long ago past i.have used epoxy with microbubbles or colloidal silica. Can't remember which I preferred.

If you don’t want to use epoxy, gorilla glue (polyurethane glue, if that brand isn’t in Germany) might work. I used it to attach to foam sheets for a board build, and it has held up well. It expands so it will fill gaps, but you need to clamp it down.

The instructions for pu glue often mention the benefit added moisture. I think someone mentioned that it does not work under vacuum, which would make sense, unless sufficient moisture would do the trick. Anyone know the full story?

Gorilla Glue works fine in a vacuum. It cures by reaction with moisture, and usually just the moisture in the air is plenty to make it harden. Dampening the surfaces will speed things up. I usually use a damp paper towel.

both are available on ebay but the gorilla one cost double then this one. btw they looks almost the same type of glue: red pu one component. you propose is easy to buy in ebayand not so expensive

well i have glued with that PU xps panel and i have found it very easy to use.good tip. now i am going to glue the mast plate reinforcement. reason of not using epoxy: saving weight. i have used in my previous board 100g to glue panels and more then 100 to glue the pwlonia. i am going to save more then 100g. PU is softer then epoxy but harder then base material xps. therefore i do not expect mechanical failures. strength is not given by paulownia bonded to xps but by paulownia bonded to composite top and bottom do you agree?
