DIY E-Foil

Postby Bille » Mon Jan 11, 2021 9:14 pm

Anyone here, build a DIY , E-Foil yet ? I don't have the money to
buy a devise, and it does look Fun ; so i, "Will" be making one, for
myself.

Looks like there are plenty of units made, for the DIY'ers ; bin looking
at the Jet 64, instead of the prop :

https://www.mhz-watercraft.com/shop/en/jets/

I know the owner of TP batteries ; so the Lipos are an easy build for me, and
i know a Lot about battery management, to get the max amount of cycle
life, with the smallest risk of blowing them up.

What i really want, is a pump hydrofoil, for a good work-out ; but was
told i need a way to get up on the foil first, since i wanna do this on
a flat lake , while waiting for the wind to build strong enough to go kiting.

Hi Billie,
I did this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQfHr5UsS9g&t=377s

but in my opinion MHZ products are unreliable and very expensive (I had a lot of problems with them).

I have seen guys paddle up on to foil.

If you are looking for a workout, that might be the way to go, and at a tiny fraction of the cost.
