Liros depower rope

Postby Kitedicted » Sat Feb 06, 2021 10:36 pm

Hey,
Does anyone know if there is any difference between thr liros D-pro and the liros "depower line"? They write that the depower line has abrasion resistance but can't find it anywhere and not sure if it's just marketing

I have both. The 5.6 Depower line feels a bit stiffer, more sturdy, less sleek. I think it is the older SK 75-78. The newer D-Pro xtr is SK99. The old Dpro Sk78 -newer version with recycled stuff. The coating of the Depower 5.6 has a higher grip factor, better hold in camcleats, not so easy to put a PC mantle on.
Esp the D-pro comes out a bit thinner diameterwise: 4mm is measured 3mm etc. They all work good. You can always wax the D-pro the oldschool way. If you run the depower through a camcleat ,i would go with the 5.6- then the diameter works good

I did not know what to buy... so I got all of them.
Different diameters and depower and normal.

Honestly I can not really identify which is which.

The depower seems to be „slipperier“ whith less friction.

On the water I have the feeling the normal one slides better through the bar.... Two bars with one normal and one depower...

But After using both 3 times... it is impossible for me to identify.

So After 6 monthI and plenty of using, I have no clue on which bar is which line...

Ah... regarding the point which one last longer: For sure the one with less sand on it ( and especially inside the line) 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
