Ocean rodeo Mako is a nice board, wouldn't call it a TT surfboard but more a Carving Machine. try it..
I second that. The Mako is as close to a surfboard you are going to find in the twintip world!

Slingshot super natural is probably worth a demo if Sam Light is honest in his reviews (and I have no reason to think he isn't). Bit pricey but if it delivers it could be really fun!

1) this post has got to be foilholio.

2) I would be happy to donate a broken Cymatic for the banana board experiment. Got to pick it up in Corpus and post pics of the final result.

I love the idea of the testing my ideas on the Mako. It would be fairly easy to attach fins almost anywhere. If placing a fin between the feet is a good thing, then it should be obvious. If this is a fundamentally flawed notion, that should be obvious too.

The Cabrinha Tronic is my go to TT surfboard if I'm not going to use a SB. It surfs well. Also handles chop, crap, etc. Not the best at jumping but that isn't what it is designed for. Give it a try if you can.

Agreed.
All those rounded end boards are so much more fun on waves. I made a high concave one inspired by watching a vid of someone riding a. Oceanrodeo board and it behaves the same. When I was still new I watched a local cutting up the waves on one and thought he had awesome technique but when I made mine I was able to ride the same as he was after very little practise despite my inexperience. Rounded end boards really are a pleasure to ride in waves but they aren't competitive in big air.

Here's one of my first builds. It actually was a light wind twin-tip, carved good but did not have enough rocker/tip curve for surfing. I put two small surf fins on each end and a fixed fin (2") in the middle between the footstraps between the edge of the board and the center.

Two TT for waves were the Airush Hammer 144

and the custom Alkita boards.
