Thanks, makes sense. So, if I wanted to have the fibre wrap around the rail, to enable lapping, I would do the same. But on the underside/topside.
Sounds tricky
I did a lot of youtube research on it the night before you asked the question up top. I'm fairly confident I could do my whole 93 litre board in one go infusing but I'm not this time. To get full strengh it requires an aggressive hot post cure and I'm not confident I can achieve it. I think the post cure requirements are worst for slower set times too. There are low viscosity resins that will take 4 hours + to thicken up but then they need to be taken to around 80 degrees C for some hours... If you run lots of infusion paths in parallel from one end then they will merge first at the starting end and work their way nicely to the other.

BUT... you need a lot of set up. Order the correct resin and catalyst, order a spray glue compatable with epoxy, order infusion mesh, peel ply, spiral wrap, vacuum bagging, basically get everything perfect before starting.
I'm going to rip into my one shortly, Have to CNC my foot strap and leash atachment plugs next, I've been designing them tonight, giving them some pattern to imprint from the fabrics and give me a target later to redril and tap.

Yeah, I can see it would a couple of dry setups to make sure it was looking right.

The heat/oven requirement isn't a viable option for me with my lack of space, at the moment ;) A possibility in the future tho'

I think for this board, I will just do a normal layup. And I'll put the infusion process on hold for board # two. I have everything I need for infusion, even a degas chamber, so I will endeavour to get there, just not this build. Appreciate your replies and feedback tho'

Just read your gear info and I love you've made your own CNC. Something I'd like, but lack of space inhibits me.

Lack of space is no excuse. Integrate the CNC somehow into your furniture and be patient to your neighbours cat so she doesn´t go nuts when you are making some board building noise. :D

EDIT: --- Photo of CNC mill deleted beacause it´s off-topic and seemed to be somehow offensive to other forum users ---

Thats you :)

My customers have a different take on CNC :)

For example:

viewtopic.php?f=107&t=2387451

Good enough? ;)

Now, show us yours...and dust extraction does not really work. But hey, what would people know, right?

For the OP, keep it simple.
