Action cam mount distance

Postby bb615 » Tue Apr 13, 2021 5:02 pm

Hello, I've some action cam mount but not yet tried during the session because I'm scared about the line cross during the loops.
Which distance do you suggest to attach the mount after front line connector?
Thanks

From my experience with a few different kite line mounts and looping, there's always a chance a line will catch. Loop your kite and look at where the lines cross and try to put it above that but there will still be a chance if the lines slack. Luckily every time I've had one catch the kite would still fly fine but I would have to manually untangle it.

I designed this a while back for the exact reason of looping with a camera. :D viewtopic.php?t=2407752
There's still a chance a line will catch on something but without the extra protrusions and crevices from the mount it's slightly less. Now that I clicked that and looked at the video again, I probably should have looped the kite there.
