Heat gun.
next time I will try oven.

what material are you using?
to my experience 1cm thick petg should be strong enough.
by printing choose the position on the table in order that the opening force is not tearing the layers apart. flat side of the S shape on the printing plate

I used both PLA and PETG and printed in all three orientations possible. Still breaks... Even production hooks break as far as know, so not that big of a problem for a DIY one. Still, it's possible to make an unbreakable one by creating a mold and filling it with epoxy and chopped fiber I guess... And not very difficult either... Cura has an option where it can create a mold for the loaded stl. Interesting feature that one...

Reinforce them with CF. Depending on the width and thickness you may need 500-2000 gsm (total, both sides).
