I am refinishing a full carbon board and plan on adding a top coat of epoxy. My epoxy does not offer any UV protection (not listed as a feature). After some research, I come to the conclusion that even epoxy with UV stabilizers tent to yellow after extended UV exposure. What are you all doing for a top layer for UV protection? Is it even needed? Will the slight yellowing over time really matter much on a black carbon board?
If I add a UV coat, I am considering spar urethane. Anyone used it over epoxy? I've used it on plywood boards without expoxy. Just added several layers on the bare wood and it worked pretty well. But even the spar urethan yellowed somewhat with sun exposure over time.

You won't notice yellowing on a naked carbon board. But a uv urethane rattlecan spray is easy to do and makes a easy to apply finish. Much easier than trying to get the epoxy that nice.

I've opted to go with a SprayMax Clear Glam 2K spray. Expensive but should provide a way more scratch resistant surface then epoxy.

Great choice. The nozzle produces a really fine spray and good pressure. It flashes off super fast so runs are less of an issue compared to other stuff I have used.
