I thought I'd share this incase it’s of any interest to others:
I’ve recently knocked together a few carts to transport fully assembled wingfoil boards (+ wings, pump etc) to the waters edge.
They use parts off old golf trolleys (I’ve picked these up for £5 - £10 on f/b market place but have been told they can be found for free on junk piles at golf clubs?).
Two carts ready to roll.
Packed down. One with wheels removed. Tool-less assembly takes <30s. Weight just over 3kg
First trials. ~1 mile to waters edge. 90% on beach. Worked Perfectly!
The 1st iteration basically plonked the board directly on top of the full trolley (See below). This worked ok and was useable but the low slung version above is far more stable and has fewer parts.
If anybody wants details of the conversion process, I’m happy to post details. It only requires basic DIY skills and hand tools. Most the parts come from the original trolley. Just need to add a few bits of wood a couple of bolts and some packing foam.
