One bar (with ML) for different kites. Any hidden rocks?

Hello guys!
Same as many other people here im kinda stuck in question of ML bar.
I dont actually like the idea of "custom made".
More and more i turn my head to the idea of buyign (used) 2012 North bar (with holes) which can be bought by 150USD on Boracay (in kite schools) for bar + lines (which are "killed" by newbies... but who care. We only need steel bar!).
Okay... the budget is:
a) 150 USD for the bar.
b) 10\30USD for the "MicroLoop kit" (+ shipping).

Plus is you want you can re-new the IronHeart (just to dont use "used" ones in terms of security).

Basically you can buy any paet sepparately. Prices are looking good as well.
The main problem is... if you want to get the "new" (unused) 2012 North bar.
Thats a tricky task. Not sure if its possible. I didnt find any on the net.

Okay. And now the question. Okay for example we get the "bar of our drream" (may it be North... or a custom made). For example its a 4-liner...

Can we use that same one bar with different 4-lines kites?
For example we have 18m (4line) Dyno, 16m Cabrinha & 12m F-one Bandit (jsut as an example).


From few people ive heard some "warnings" like: "You are not supposed to use non-original bar with kite".

But for me its a hard question to understand. Once i get North, Cabrinha & F-one bars. I "settup" them all in a parralel way on the beach. The lines, the leight & everything is identical. All bars have a setup where all 4 lines have the same leight in sm.

Okay, Cabrinha have like 5inches more wide bar in compaison to North & F-One.
But other than this - they are identical.


Can anyone explain me if there is any real point why cant we use one bar for different kites (in case if those kites require similar lines setup. And not the settup where front lines & power lines have different leight).

Any ideas? Or this is only a "manufactureres" warning for rookies?
Because i want to have a "perfect" bar (with long depower & ML)... but i want to use it on all possible kites (when i cant stick to the main airstyle kite).

You can use any bar with any kite!
Maybe some trimming is needed.

You can get new North bars in German online stores, I am sure.

Check on ebay or google (eg handmade, surf pirates etc)

Why do i want to "get the new north bars" ? They dont have "holes".... huh?

Or you mean "unused 2012 north" ones?

PS: Btw does 2011 (your) DYNO is a 4lines as well? Or its already a 5th liner?
