Want a good seat harness

I have a Dakine Fusion seat harness which fits and feels great but they don't last. After about 20 sessions the legs straps start separating from the harness and I have snapped spreader bars before. I have had four of these harnesses replaced under warranty so I can't complain too much .I’m just getting sick of having to annoy the shop who sold me the harness as it’s not there fault. Any way what have you guys found to be a good seat harness. I’m about 75kgs and mainly into boosting and some simple tricks.

Spreader bars breaking can be deadly.
Do they still use those thin hooks?

Just go to different shops and try different harnesses.
Everyone has a different body, so hard to tell you which harness to use.

Not many shops stock much in the range of seat harnesses as everyone uses waist harnesses. So I'm trying to find a brand of harnesses that lasts then try and track one down to try .My first Dakine harness lasted three years now they only last a few months .

Also prefere the Dakine fusion and exepriece just the same. The quality is really poor. Normally dakine makes good quality but not the fusion harness. First time I had it repaired was just after 3 months. But have not tryed a better fitting one yet Patlove is ok but not the same comfort and feel. It is easy to find a good waist harness eg. Naish KL pro, Slingshot Balistic, Dakine Pyro. Also a good race seat harness with low hook - But a good seat with high hook and fit like a waist is rare.

I had that harness (dead in 6 months). I agree its bad.....

I hate to make a recommendations but I moved to the OR 2 (its not perfect either no harness is). I'm also hard on things. I've had this harness for two years of kiting all year round and its still like new. Only damage is sun fading (That will give you an idea of how much I use it)

Its also a hybrid harness if I want to go freestyle I can convert it to a waist harness in 5min.

Oh and zero and I mean zero ass hugging due to the mountian climing type leg straps.

try the Underwave seat

I have friends using it, is light and confortable but also robust.

OR stays for Ocean ROdeo, is an hybrid model. others hybrid models are Mystic and Pat Love. the pull is a bit more high than a seat but lower than a traditional waist, and not go up.

Mystic do a couple of seats. Ion too. Ion and Dakine do shorts harnesses which are supposed to be much better. Jay (Dynabar) does leg straps/shorts harness. North does the Transformer... there are a lot of other options around. At your weight you shouldn't have a problem getting something...

I think there's even Flying Objects in Oz...

Yep same here. My 2013 that I got in July has large areas of the pants part separating at the seams...

Problem is they break at the welds at the bar. I've broken two, bent the hook of one and have cracks in another

When I was still fat I rode a B2 from Ion (Pants harness - amazing fit and feel) and a seat harness from Ion called Radar, both were really well made, never had any issues.

Now I just bought the B2 one size smaller

Ion lists their biggest size for harnesses as XL = 33-37" My Dakine harnesses are XXL...
