... Hey Toby, from one of your pictures, I noticed a bit of a bridle.

Does the 18m have a 5th line bridle (like the smaller rebels) or does it have a front line bridle aka Dyno's? Is it like the normal Rebel only doesn't need the 5th line loaded?
A pic of the bridles would be nice!!

Damn that is a good question...its a 'rebel' surely it loaded...?

Loaded 5th.

It is connected like a V.

Front lines very simple bridle with 2 connections I think.

Nice, the bridle thing in Dyno was slightly annoying. This is a cleaner setup.

Arriving in Tarifa today, maybe 15-20 knots, will fly it with 32 m lines then.
Had it out in around 18-26 knots in Porto Pollo on Wednesday, no problem to hold the power, but wind and conditions were so bad (fully overrated spot!!!) that I stopped after 1 hour.

I need either Brazil, Cabarete or Egypt to be able to see its potential.

Maybe winds are good in Tarifa so I can compare better.

Latest at the Airstyle Hangout in Ras Sudr Egypt end of Setember I will be able to compare with Dyno and another proto.

Good to know it has some front line bridal connections for a bit more support across that large frame with a loaded fifth ...

I actually don't care which bridle system, as long as the kite does what I want

... ahh cool, I get it now! I know what you mean with the dyno's bridle being slightly annoying, nothing to do with the perfomance thats for sure but more to do with the way they tangle when packing up ect!!! All good hey!!!!

Digging up an old thread...

I'm looking to buy a big kite, 17 or 18 and I saw this thread about an 18m Rebel.
From what I could see on line, it was only made in 2015.

I wonder what happened with the 18m Rebel. Didn't it work? Maybe it was good, but no one bought it?
Anyone knows?
