Where is the end? do you think you can continue to do new variations forever.
Or will there come a point where say " you know what. I've done this to death. I'm now going to do 1300 tricks on a wake skate or strapless surfboard or hydrofoil"?
I still have 500+ ideas...and I keep having ideas.
At this point the end will only be my physical condition. So far all is possible, but I do feel my body, but so far no pain, but soar muscles...and that is good
So far I don't think of doing it with different board types etc...I will leave this to someone else to accomplish, since all other disciplines have top young riders pushing further...only Airstyle does not.
Therefore I will keep pushing as much as I can...it's the biggest challenge in my life...only few people on this planet understand what I am going thru. But I get rewarded by landing those new tricks...and that is awesome.
i would love to see some strapless airstyle. younger riders on the strapless are all about the waves, nobody is doing airstyle strapless tricks on the flat or at least very few. I'm sure Toby could kill it strapless, but he's stubborn he'll never change.
why stubborn? because I do what I like and prefer?
My personal likes:
1. fly (that's why I started the sport)
2. twintip only...I HATE directionals and the jibes
But aren't there already enough young guys pushing the strapless freestyle? Which also includes slides, jesus walks, big air etc. It looks awesome and I enjoy watching it.
Lots of older riders had to give up the twintip dude to knee problems and gave up boosting at the same time. you're someone that could show them how to boost strapless. kids don't do that it's all unuhooked skate tricks or strapless wave.
didn't know you hated strapless so much just figured you were stubborn
Toby has his own style! He also has his own way of viewing content on the internet. Toby be like f*ck Firefox, Explorer, Chrome, Safari, I has my own Braeuwser biiiatch!
I'm the other way round. I try and try to be motivated by tricks. But i just don't enjoy them. I much prefer smashing fast, boosting high blazing around in the waves. In fact i really enjoy flying the kite kite through a big jump. So I find if i add tricks it detracts from my kite flying fun.
Ok I do basic grabs and some upside down. But that's about it.
Its a bit of a problem when there isn't any waves because flat, choppy water bores me after 20-30 minutes. If i found more joy in tricks i'd better enjoy those no swell days.
