Hi,
I am getting more and more interested in Airstyle.
I was riding a Nais draft 14m in hot 15-20 kt winds. It might not be the perfect size for a style but it was a start... Now I am back in Europe and I am expecting some pretty strong winds (25-35kt).
Which size would you recommend? 9m2 o more?

Depends on your weight.
The longer you can hold down a kite in stronger wind the more you gonna fly and advance in tricks. Remember, the slower the kite the more you will advance. And normally means, the bigger (equals slower) the more control you will have.
Or add longer lines to the bar, use a shorter bar and inner connections of bar and kite.
Slow is key here.

Thanks for your answer. I am 80-85kg (probably closer to 85 now:)). I was wondering what kite you use in strong winds when your 18 don't let you touch the water.... I can hold the Draft 14 in 22-25 kts cold wind, so I will need a smaller high AR kite for strongest wind . My short list is now, the edge, the boost, the draft, the nrg, and the rebel (maybe upcoming f-one furtive), still I am not sure which size I should choose. 9 would make sense but I am afraid it will turn too fast...
I guess long lines and small bar is a solution

I did face the same question a while ago and did try the following kites (Im 80kg):
- edge
- Boost
- Rebel
- Evo
- Dyno
- Draft
Each on 9 or 10. As Toby did point out many of them are fast, even with longer (32m) lines. With one exception, the Boost. I have never experiences a slower kite. It is so lame that it already hurts. Lift and Hangtime are better than with the majority of the others, expecially the hangtime (i did count the seconds while I was in the air).
Im riding the Boost 9 now and it is also great for taking out the gusts. Only thing which is a pain are the smaller lines, but thats is wort it.
Feel free to reach out to me for further input.
Cheers
Jan

Toby doesnt kite plus 25. He stays home and works............
I have a 10 edge. At 25 knots its fully lit and boosting huge at 30 knots i'm fully trimmed and looking for another kite I don't enjoy the 10 edge over 28 knots. At 35 knots I would die.

make that 28 knots and it is correct.
In those high winds I don't try new tricks and the risk of an injury goes up a lot by using smaller, faster kites.
I am lucky that I can pick my conditions, so will wait for my comfort zone wind, because only then I progress.
