U just answered this for yourself.BlameTheWind wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 3:46 pmI can do doublerolls with 12RS no problem, also with loop, if kite is slow thats sounds much more scary for me than its not so stable. I mean im afraid that it will be boring, almost all tricks i do are with loop. But i am interested to have more smooth style.
Yes, but was it Soul for $300 fixed? Huge difference with so slippery material.grigorib wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 5:58 pmGas is $2.70 a gallon (72c a liter) in ILdownunder wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 2:47 pmAnd finally, I just love Yanks. How much u paying for petrol?
For US $30 in AU no one even wants to talk. The one single sewing run on LEI from LE to TE is AU$150. Thats 15min job.
6-8 broken ribs is about $600-800 job. If u can find that skilled tech particularly for ultra slippery Soul fabric. Many will not even attempt, and fair enough.
To send it to EU is 200. The warranty does not cover shipping.
As said, none one takes local environment into account. What your env has to do with someone elses? Great for you tho.
Not so great for non yanks, unfortunately.
I’m sure there are cheaper things in Australia like healthcare expenses compared to US. Paying $800-$1200 for each of kids’ daycare ain’t fun either
$300 repair for 8 ruined foil ribs is pretty reasonable cost. I paid $120 for straight leading-to-trailing edge rip for LEI and $140 for fixing 2 LE rips. Pretty reasonable
I wouldn’t ride a kite with 8 repaired ribs or edge to edge repair neither. A brand new LEI is what $400-$900 and new wings resist abuse better
My environment doesn’t allow me to fly foils to start with but I don’t judge kites based on environment - people often don’t enter their location and I have no clue about services availability/cost at their spot.
