Nice these tutorials, this one is clear, well explained.

One thing is lacking; the howto find these spots with flat water and without any other kiters to disturb your attemtps....

Reality is that this is a bottleneck for lots of us...

How choppy may the water be before your chances on succes are totally eliminated? As a beginner darkslider..

How much distance from other kiters is advisable?

You can also do it in chop...won't be as stylish.
Your kite is looping...so minimum line length plus 15m...
