Thanks. Would be great if Surfr could make a suggestion for the cheapest and optimal compatible smart phone (waterproof?) that would work with a sim-only/prepaid card.

Since we’re just starting up the Surfr. business
🤔
What's the concern? Makes perfect sense they started off with existing hardware...however they took their responsibility and didn't sell their initial product and took the extra effort in designing their own case which is a big step up which was planned later and pre-poned this! So instead of having to upgrade later they saved some frustration with early adopters

They stated it’s a hobby and all for free without commercial interests.

It’s a business.

Well. The word "business" has several meanings and is not necessarily linked to some commercial activity:

"Arranging a trip abroad is a time-consuming business"

"We have some unfinished business to discuss"

So I'm not sure if you can conclude by that sentence that this will be a "commercial business".

Really Toby...come on. There is no intend for profits so far! No need to push them to the "special offer" section. Otherwise you should do this with every WOO topic too. as Havre saying talking about business doesnt necessarily mean a business with intend of earning your money out of it.

The beauty is that you can almost use any cellphone. Having an old one stored away just got a new purpose :thumb:

I second this. I think, since it has the intend to include users ideas, it is better held in the main forum for a wider audience. Maybe there should be a solution which supports non-profit diy projects. It should be a win for all of us.

Agreed. I am also surprised how posts about Kevin and Reedin are not influencer marketing.

I don't get it, too. We have the captain pushing his Core Nexus Kite on a business level and we got this interesting project and it ends up in here.
Anyways: I guess it s okay if someone of us will open a new thread and report about it and do reviews about it. Maybe we should do it that way, when the app is out in the app store and we can see how good it actually works.

Herbert, how about live streaming GoPro or other action cam footage and adding the jump readings to the live stream?

Can we put this back in the normal section Toby? Or do we really need to make a seperate subject. Please note it wasn't the guys from surfr who started this thread anyway...

Release comming soon quite interested to see their results on real jumpheight.
