Love all of your hydrofoil posts and Vimeo videos, keep them coming.
Would you mind sharing the dimensions of your front and rear wooden hydrofoils?
I have John's blue RR board.
Mahalo,
Bric
I took the dimensions off the Rush Randle hydrofoil. You can adjust the size according to your weight.

Water went into the carbon fuselage tube, figured it would be easier to make one with wood than to stop the leak.

Complete wood hydrofoil, easy to assemble, easy to make.
Very low cost, probably $200 in material.

I'm really impressed that good old low tec wood can work so well. You proved it man! What does that whole setup weigh? You geometry seems pretty good from your video. Can you post details of all the relevant dimensions? I just may have to get on the bandwagon!
Cheers

The whole setup weight just over 5kg,
Lighter than all three commercially available one that I have,
The Rush Randle Aluminum
The MHL lift Carbon veneer
The Carafino Carbon Fiberglass
The floor tile is 1 foot square, so you can see how big they are.

This is Great !
After looking at your wool foils ; i just decided to forget
about Most of the carbon stuff, and learn on a home-made
ply-wood one of my own.
Good Job !!

The position of the foil still need some tweaking, the Carbon tube was taking water, everything else seem good.

Wow! Thanks for the inspiration, I'm going to have to make one of these now
What angle of attack of both wings? Neutral for both? Or do you have a slight positive at the front?
Nice vids
