This sealing saga all went a bit quiet.
has anybody come up with and put into practice a working solution or has it been decided that there isn't a real problem?
Also. What is the overall weight of the LF foil? I just trawled through this whole thread and could find it.

Board ONLY from VP earlier in this thread weight: 12lbs 5.5kg,
I just spent some time searching for just the T bar and wings weight but could not find,
only this from another forum,
" the downside is that it is very heavy (made with aluminium) and the board doesn't have enough volume"
Maybe if Polykarb reads this he can weight his and post it?

Weight 8 lbs 2 oz from here
http://greenhatkiteboarding.com/news/20 ... orce-foil/
I'm thinking those weights are complete foil without board (mast, fuselage, 2 wings, mounting plate).

9.4kg complete, which is 1.9kg heavier than a Spotz for comparison.
Pete from Perth Kite Racing facebook group here in Perth weighed a demo LF versus his regular ride.
I've got the LF and not sealed the mast yet - interested to see whether a better solution than silicon surfaces.

Checked it last session and ~2cl came out right after riding 2 hours. Will keep an eye on it but if it stays that way it won't bother me.

Don't get crazy,
The spotz foil is way lighter, points way higher and is way faster.
The foil fish is way cheaper, way heavier and way easier to learn on.
Lots of ways, lol.
Buying a foil fish is an excellent way to learn to foil, and it gets you out kiting in really light winds.
If your thinking of giving it a go, I totally recommend the foil fish.
Then if you like it, and once you realise how practical foils are as a light wind option you can upgrade to a higher end product.
Higher end = higher price.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Another thought re LF foil.
I seem to recall one of their main marketing features was cheap spares....
Has anybody seen a list of the the available spares and prices?
Also has anybody managed to bend or break any parts yet?

Another option,
http://www.thekitefoil.com/#!online-sto ... y=12087147
Look carefully at all the differences, ther are many.
I AM IN NO WAY SPONCERED OR CONNECTED TO ANY KBHF COMPANY!
I design and build ALL my own gear, ( feel free to search my posts) have for many years, and will continue to do so.
I just want all the options out there to be readily available and truthful!
Spend your money carefully and choose the best option available after a lot of research!
Flying a foil board with a kite is absolutly fantastic and now that there starts to be some lower cost options, be aware that this comes with huge differences in quality and performance.
